Shift Manager

Due to sustained long-term growth and continued business expansion, a leading manufacturer of precision-engineered components is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to join its team. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the business unit, ensuring production targets, quality standard, and operational objectives are achieved. Candidates are sought with proven supervisory or management experience within a manufacturing environment.

The Role

Plan, coordinate and manage production schedules to achieve operational targets.

Champion a culture of continuous improvement.

Ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures and company policies.

Monitor production performance and adjust schedules to maintain efficiency and output.

Lead daily shift meetings, communicating priorities and responsibilities to ensure effective team performance.

Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.

Ensure all operations are conducted in full compliance with Health & Safety legislation.

Drive cost reduction initiatives by identifying efficiencies, minimising waste and promoting best practices.

Monitor and manage quality performance, including compliance, scrap reduction and rework control.

The Person

Proven experience in a supervisory or management level position in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing & Methodology.

Excellent leadership skills with the ability to engage and motivate a team.

Knowledge of quality control and safety standards.

Commitment to achieving set goals, targets, and objectives.

High level of professionalism and integrity.

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
