Senior Health & Safety Advisor

A leading consultancy has a new vacancy for a Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join the team. Working with different clients, predominantly in the engineering & manufacturing sectors you will provide Health and Safety advice including carrying out risk-based audit reviews, commercial compliance and providing cost-effective recommendations to mitigate risks. The successful candidate will have previous experience working in an industrial sector and a full UK driving licence as the position does require frequent travel to customers sites.

The Role

Undertake Health and Safety auditing and inspections on client sites.

Identify health and safety risks and hazards and help put in corrective actions as needed.

Reporting on site Health, safety and environmental standards.

Check compliance to policies, procedures and site rules.

Assist with accident, incident and near miss investigations and identify root cause.

Help with development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Undertake the Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) review process.

Help with planning of resource requirements.

Implement Health and Safety Management Systems.

Lead daily auditing processes, ensuring compliance to ISO45001.

Keep up to date with new legislation.

The Person

A good practical knowledge of Health and Safety.

Working knowledge of site-based activities, hazards and risks.

Knowledge of UK legislation.

Must have background working in a complex engineering and/or manufacturing environment.

Must have UK Driving licence.
