Business Development Manager

An industry leading manufacturer of electrical power solutions to the Aerospace, Defence, Energy and Marine sectors has a new vacancy for a Business Development Manager. Joining at a time of significant new product development and launch, you will identify, develop and grow relationships with customers and expand the company’s presence in key areas.
The Role
Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
Research markets, identify growth opportunities and develop new sales pipelines.
Prepare quotations, proposals and commercial presentations.
Manage the full business development process, from initial enquiry through to contract award.
Attend customer meetings, networking events and industry exhibitions.
Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and delivered.
Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to the company's strategic growth plans.
The Person
Proven experience in business development ideally with some understanding or wiring looms and/or cable harnesses.
A proactive, commercially minded approach with the ability to identify and convert opportunities.
Experience in sectors that utilise wiring solutions such as aerospace, defence, medical, etc is highly beneficial.
Strong relationship-building and customer management skills.
The ability to understand technical products, processes and customer requirements.
Self-motivated, organised and results-driven.
