Procurement Manager

Vectis Recruitment is exclusively partnering with a leading global aerospace group to appoint a Procurement Manager – Asia. A pivotal role within a rapidly expanding organisation undergoing significant investment and transformation across its Asia operations, the successful candidate will take ownership of all procurement activities across the region, playing a key role in shaping and delivering the company’s sourcing strategy and supplier performance. An experienced procurement professional with strong leadership skills, candidates are sought with a good understanding of the aerospace sector.

The Role

Lead procurement activities from Singapore head office for all Asia Procurement activities.

Lead, coach and manage the Procurement team.

Build & develop long term supplier relationships.

Drive the sourcing strategy including supplier selection and consolidation.

Develop strategies and drive negotiations to meet the quality, fulfilment and productivity.

Compile and analyse data to ensure decisions are based on fact.

Keep up to date on price trends and manufacturing processes.

Review both short and long term proposals and negotiate prices to ensure cost efficiency and on time delivery

Work closely with other departments including engineering and quality to qualify existing and new suppliers.

Monitor and report on supplier performance and implement corrective action when required.

The Person

Proven experience in a senior Supply Chain or Procurement position.

A good understanding of the Aerospace sector (Ideally manufacturing & OEM).

Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.

Highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Previous track record of effectively negotiating contracts and long-term agreements.

Strong business acumen with demonstrated ability to motivate, influence and drive change.
