CMM Programmer

A growing manufacturer of precision components is seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to join the team. This is a key role within the quality department, responsible for ensuring our products meet the highest industry standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in the within the department, developing and testing CMM programs and conducting inspections.

The Role:

Develop, test, and validate CMM programs for new and existing products.

Conduct inspections in accordance with quality plans.

Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) requirements.

Complete inspection reports, accurately and in a timely manner.

Identify and document non-conformances.

Maintain inspection tools and work areas in clean, organized, and safe condition.

Train and support inspectors in the use of CMM programs and equipment.

Maintain CMM equipment and calibration schedules to ensure measurement accuracy.

The Candidate:

Experience working in a highly regulated precision engineering environment (Aerospace, automotive, defence, medical, etc).

Proven experience as a CMM Programmer or Inspector in a manufacturing environment.

Experience with measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, gauges and CMM’s.

High attention to detail and accuracy.
